WISL Webrate is a web based application that provides the capability to enter
the characteristics of a shipment and retrieve the best rate along with a list of other
applicable rates and access to further details about the rates and contract arrangements
 | - interfaces

1. Access to the routine is provided to the users via a browser
provided by the licensee. The browser must run on a web server. The web server may reside
on a computer connected to the internet(thus making it an internet application) or on a
computer connected to the local area network on which the logistics server is
connected(possibly the same machine) which would make it an intranet application.
2. Shipment specifications are entered directly through a web based
entry screen.
3. Webrate invokes the FAIS auto-rating mechanism which
identifies the best rate and a list of additional rates found
4. Webrate provides for display of the rates data gathered in the
auto-rating process and also provides for display of additional detail
5. The facilities of FAIS Enduser Inquiry are utilized to
provide authorized access to Webrate
