Here we profile someone or some aspect of WISL to create a better understanding of our operations, goals and people.WISL's New Office
After more than 10 years at 3 Menno Street in Waterloo, WISL moved into new digs at the end of March this year at 33 Dupont Street East in Waterloo.
WISL occupies approximately one half of the lower level of the three storey building.
Brian's corner is the focal point of WISL's computing plant which includes 2 IBM RS/6000 AIX servers, 3 Windows NT servers and several Windows 98 workstations.
This section of our office constitutes the hardware R&D area which includes point of sale/bank authorization/smart card hardware on the retail side and RF scanning devices and specialized process control terminals on the logistics/manufacturing side.
WISL now has very comfortable conference room facilities.
Adjacent to the conference room is a storage area and extensive kitchen facilities.
Two washrooms - less waiting!
Audrey III occupies some of the area that is earmarked for expansion of our development and support force. Rumors persist that its rapid growth since we arrived is related to the mysterious disappearance of a temporary Canada Post letter carrier earlier this summer. |
